Frequently asked questions
What is a source?
A source is any independent service, worker, function, or application sending events to Astralog. This includes your frontend, backend API, edge functions, and AI agents.
What counts as an event?
Every single telemetry record sent to Astralog through our SDKs or HTTP API counts as one event, with a maximum size of 64KB per event.
What are NL2SQL queries?
Astralog AI can translate your natural language questions into highly optimized ClickHouse SQL queries. This allows you to explore your events without writing a single line of SQL.
What are AI messages?
AI messages are requests sent to Astralog AI for event analysis, incident investigation, or root cause identification. Each plan includes a monthly quota of AI-powered insights.
What happens if I exceed the 1M events on Free?
The Free plan is designed for early-stage usage. We'll notify you when you approach your limit so you can upgrade to Pro for more volume and unlimited sources.
Can I bring my own storage bucket?
Yes. Bring Your Own Bucket (BYOB) is available on the Enterprise plan, allowing you to store events directly in your own S3, R2, or GCS buckets.
Do you offer annual billing?
Currently, we focus on monthly billing to keep things simple and flexible. Annual billing options will be available for Enterprise customers.
